How to use it
On touch or mouse, tap or click any white or black key directly, and use the arrow buttons above the keyboard to scroll to a different octave. Hold several keys at once for a chord, each note rings independently. Turn on Sustain to let notes fade out slowly after you lift a key, similar to holding the pedal on a real piano, and use the volume slider to set your own level.
On a computer, click inside the keyboard once so it can catch your keystrokes. The row A through J plays one octave (with W, E, T, Y, and U for the black keys in between), and Z, X, C, V, B, N, M plus the number row above them play the octave above that. Every mapped key shows its letter or number right on the piano key.
Switch to “Note of the day” for a short eight-note melody that changes once a day, the same tune for everyone who visits. Falling blocks show which note comes next; play it in time to score points, and a streak counter tracks consecutive days you complete it. Your best score, best accuracy, and streak are saved with localStorage on your device only. Nothing you play is recorded or sent anywhere.
